The SheEO Foundation stands with the young people of Kenya who are bravely speaking out against the rising taxes and high cost of living. We are heartbroken by the loss of lives and the reports of abductions and other human rights abuses against protestors.

At SheEO Foundation, our mission includes fostering inclusion, empowering marginalized communities, and promoting social justice. The recent events in Kenya highlight the ongoing challenges that continue to marginalize and oppress vulnerable people. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right in any democracy, and the violent response to these protests is deeply unjust.

Inclusion is at the core of everything we do, and we believe everyone should be able to voice their concerns and fight for better living conditions without fear. The actions taken against protestors go against these values. We condemn the excessive use of force, unlawful abductions, and suppression of free expression.

We call on the Kenyan government to:

  • Respect and uphold the constitutional rights of all citizens, including the right to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into the deaths and abductions of protestors, holding those responsible accountable.
  • Engage in meaningful dialogue with the protestors to address their grievances and work towards sustainable solutions that alleviate the economic burdens faced by many Kenyans.

At SheEO Foundation, we are dedicated to advocating for justice, equality, and the inclusion of all voices in our society. We stand with the young people of Kenya in their pursuit of a fair and just society, and we urge the international community to support these efforts.

The stories of Grace and Faith of late best describe how our program lessons culminate into real-world success and resilience.
